Question Posted Saturday June 25 2005, 12:59 pm

my friends say my hair is like barb wire. they say there isnt a difference between my hair and pubic hair! i admit that my hair is poofy, but i dont think it's THAT bad. they keep telling me to rebond it but i dont wish to as it would kill my hair cells and make my hair lose its lustre and bouncy effect. please help me!

Renee

dear renee,

there are other things to do with your hair besides rebonding. you could try experimenting with curling tongs/flat irons to straighten your hair/curl it back. there are many hair products available that won't damage your hair, but instead help to protect it. try using brands like l'oreal. this way, you can alter your hairstyle as you like, and still keep your original 'do. makes for more flexibility than rebonding which will last for awhile. :)

you could also opt for an afro. since your hair is "poofy" and "bouncy", it would seem like an ideal style to try. however, you should take into mind the size of the afro.

hope i helped! :)

luv, xt :)
