Question Posted Wednesday June 8 2005, 6:49 pm

okay..i am really into god, as my family is also..you know..we dont believe in abortion and stuff...but latley my friends are kind of like..what ever when it comes to god..like they will say his name in vein and such..well you see i have this one friend..and we were fighting becasuse she told this girl that i used to be friends with that i was having a birthday party..but i didnt invite her..now my friend said that my old friend kept bugging her and asking her if i was having a party then one day my friend cracked and said yes that i was..now i was really mad at her..but then decided to forgive her becasue it was the Christian thing to do, and because i was hurting God. Noe i forgave her and told her it was the christan thing, and the right thing to do...but here is the problem: she didnt except it because i was only doing it to please god..was this the wrong reason to forgive her? im very confused now..

thanks.. signed,
forgiving friend

no it wasn't the wrong reason to forgive her. it is definitely the right thing to do. Christians do things to please God. if your friend is going to be against God in that way, you have to make a decision. 1.stop hanging out with her or 2.witness to her. it's easier for someone to pull you down, than for you to pull them up.
