Question Posted Tuesday June 7 2005, 4:44 pm

Ok this is a really weird question...but for the past few days...i have had these spots on my tonuge..not like bubbles or anything...just little spots like missing or something. and they burn when most things touch them. I was sick for a few weeks and i drank a lot of hot drinks to make my throat feel better and i dont know if that would have anything to do with it...but does anyone have any idea what they are or wht i could do?? thanks

Kankersores probably... they are caused by too much sugar in your taste buds of the tounge. Are they white? If so thats them hehe. If theyre major, go get Glyoxide, and put it on the sores. hold it there for around 3minutes and rinse out mouth. Do this 3-5 times a day for around 3 days! This makes them go away. And lay off the sugar ;) GOOD LUCK ! :D

Your tongue is just burned.. no need to worry, in a few days it'll be back to normal. Try not eating anything too spicy. I dont know of anything else to do just be careful and dont eat or drink anything too hot in the meantime!

you probably burned off some taste buds from the hot drinks, as ucky as it sounds, it happens. believe me, i had an incedent with hot chocolate a few years back. dont worry, they'll come back.

It could have to do with drinking very hot drinks. Normally that happens to me if I chew too much gum or eat too many sour things.

You just pretty much have to wait for them to go away.
