im trying to convince my parents to allow me to fly by myself from wisconsin to washington. the problum is my parents say im 2 young to travle on my owne and i could be kidnapped. i was wondering if some people could give me some info. on the safety so i can try and convince my parents. i want to go next year so i will be 14 but they still wont listen 2 me. i heard from a friend that the airport people like, make shure u get from plane to plane and crap. but my parents refuse to even think about it. my mom is preddy much my only hope, and shes a big worry wart. could someone please help me? i rate well

ok same thing has kind of happened to me apart from because my parents new my friend would meet me the other side they let me go.They new i would be safe because i was staying with my friend i traveled to japan on my own. Yes you can get a thing called family service which is really good they are with you all the time i think depending on the airline it might cost extra to have family service.Lots of younge people travel aswell along with family service so you will not be alone. They do not leave you they make sure you get to the airport the otherside safe aswell and they are on the plane aswell.They travel back with you aswell its really gd.You wear a badge that says family service so they won't lose you.Tell you're mum you will not talk to strangers!! and don't because there are weirdos out there!!! hope i helped lv sweetcorn as long as you are meeting someone there its ok otherwise do not go.

Usualyy if you are underage, you parents can request for you to have someone there with you the whole time, most likely a flight attendent. They will get you from your parents and stay with you until the other people come to pick you up. They should know this, if not let them know, they can call your airport and find out how they can arrange this.

I havent flew anywhere before but like my friend has when she was like 13, And they make sure your accompanied by an Flight attendant the whole time and they do show I.d's and everything so your pretty safe, But I understand why they are worried my parents are just like that! Dont worry they will learn to let go one day it just takes time and you stil are pretty youn g! im 13 too and i went to california from massachusetts and your an unaccompienied minor and a flight attendent stays with you the whole time until you get to the destination and a adult is there to pick u up and the adult that picks u up has to sign papers and show id's so they know that thats the right person who's picking up up.. and you're like first on the plane and last off so they always know where you are..
