what happend to my mic?

ok i have one of those computers that has a mic inside of it. its on the top and its just a little hole. it always worked until we moved my comp into my room. i have gone to the control panel thing..but i cant find where to go. how do i install it? or what am i supposed to do so it works? thanks!

If your mic is inside your monitor, then there is probably somthing unplugged. Look behind your screen for a loose cable and find the mic plug on the back of your computer.

I can't get my mic. to woRk eitheR, so I feel youR pain. I knwo you said you went to the Control Panel, but did you test the Wizard??? If not, go to:
---START
---SETTINGS
---CONTROL PANEL
---SOUNDS AND AUDIO DEVICE
---TEST HARDWARE
