You can go about this is a few ways.
I am assuming that the friends you say haven't called are the same "friends" who are talking smack behind your back?
The ages of these so called "friends" who sure help right about now. Gonna guess you to be between 12- 16 years old. Don't trip out if I under or over guessed ya.
If you are in high school why would you feel the need for these rude biotchs to call you? All that was said would be total Bullshit or told the next day to anyone willing to gossip.
The Jr.High High School girls are the worst about running people into the ground. Somehow it gives people a feeling of " I am better than you". That's bogus though cause only an INSECURE, inconsiderate, girl would whisper behind a "friends" back, actually No true friend would ever allow anyone to talk you down. Friends care they do not inflict pain on anyone.
These girls will get thiers in time. Karma is real and it will come full circle.
So.. the reason they whisper about you is because #1. you must be very pretty, they are jealous.
#2. You show them how much it hurst your feelings when they betray you. They are after a reaction!
If you let anyone bully you and you act like a puppy with his tail between his legs. They will never leave you alone.
Don't give them the POWER of effecting you. Just act like you "cannot be botherd". Your time is too precious to be taken up by some "SOMETIMEY" wannabe's.
Make them wonder! Smile be happy and pleasant and it will eat them up.
If they see they get to you then they always will!
People are gonna talk about each other no matter what.
When they stop talking about you , and quit noticing you thats when you may have reason for concern. In other words take the attention they give you as a compliment, obviously they think you are Da Shit cause you are the choice topic.
Never let them see you sweat no matter what. Shake them haters off.
