kidney problems?
ok sometimes my side hurts. its kind of hard to explain where it hurts though..it just does. the feeling is hard to explain too. its not a period type cramp, its not worse either, but i can barely feel it, but it still hurts. somtimes it hurts in the front, sometimes on the side, and sometimes on my back. its on my left side, and my right side never hurts. it doesnt hurt every day and this is about the 3rd time its happend in like 2 weeks? it doesnt hurt as much when im sitting...mostly when im standing. could i have a small kidney stone or something? i told my mom a while ago, but she just laughed because im always saying something is wrong with me because i heard about it on tv, so now i think it happend to me. but, i this is real. im 13 years old by the way, and im a girl. i dont really want to go to the doctor, because who wants a doctor like feeling me on my left side on my lower back? and i think i have heard you either have to have surgery, or they get a pee sample. i hate doing that because i never have to go and i feel so embarresed handing them my pee..lol. is there any other ways that they check to see if somethings wrong? would i go to my normal doctor that i go to when i get colds or something? what else do you think could be wrong? do you think its something wrong with my left kidney? what should i do? just wait and see what happens like i have been? the pain hasnt been getting worse, and it hasnt been hurting more often. just maybe about every 4, 5, or 6 days i think. is it even possible for such a young girl to have something wrong with her kidney? (im 13 once again..) i weigh 114 and im 5'2 if that matters at all. thanx! please help! :o(

you should check with a doctor, even if you are embaressed, because if it is something serious you dont want it to get even worse than it may be. it also may be your appendix, or you may have an ovarian syst(sp?)

Do you drink a lot of soda? If so, could possibly be a kidney infection. Drink more water and when you are hurting, cranberry juice.
HOWEVER, I am not a doctor and if this pain is consistent, the best thing to do is to go to a professional.

It is possible to get something wron with your kidney at any age, so i would seriously go to your normal doctor soon beucase if there is something wrong with your kidney like you have got an infection it could get worse and might lead to somethind even worse which you don twant. If you og to your doctors they will be able to sort it out and if they need to give you anything for it they will give it you. You might need to go to hopsital to have a check up so be aware, you might find out its nothing seroius but i would go to doctors as soon as possible so it can get sorted out at an earlier stage.
