Question Posted Wednesday May 18 2005, 7:40 am

(14/m/oh) I broke up with my girfriend about a week ago and i'm kind of looking for other girls now because i know she wasn't for me and i need to move on. i have two girls in mind. one is a really hott girl that goes to my school. she isn't stuckup or snobby like most of the girls. she is fun to be around and she lives about 5 minutes away. (she might not work out because i am the skater type and shes more of a prep) the other girl is my best friends old girfriend. she is very beautiful and very understanding. she is so easy to talk to, i talked to her for hours last night about these situations. after talking to her for so long and realizing that she was just like me, i started to like her. she said she needed a boyfriend and i need a girlfriend, she doesnt like anybody in particular right now because she just got over my best friend. which girl do you guys think is better for me? and how should i become close to her?

i think the second one is better for you because you talked about her the most. obviously the other girl is just a looker, meaning she's hott but not what you want. the second girl seems like what you want because you said that you can easily talk to her. a person that you feel comfortable around enough to talk to her/him is something that you want. you do not want someone who seems to care...trust me it sucks.
but, don't go after her right away. not all girls like the kind of guys that are blunt about their feelings at first. remember that she just got over your best friend. take it easy, talk to her more, get to know her, have fun with her...and last but not least...think about what kind of relationship you would have with her and if it would really work out.
hope i helped.

That's good that the first girl isn't snobby or stuckup like most of the girls. However, you don't describe her as well as you do with the 2nd girl. you seem to be able to describe her a lot better. You two seem really close too. I think the second one is best for you.

Ask her out and see what she says. hey, afterall, she did say she needed a boyfriend didn't she? ^-^ And you already seem close to her, since you can talk to her about certain situations.good luck and hope i helped!

i would definatly go for the one you have more incommen with. It would make the relation ship easyer to collid with and you would understnad each other more. But if she just broke up with your bestfriend then i would maybe wait a while.
hope i helped <3

I would think the first girl would be a better selection for you. She's kind, and lives near by; works good, right? And what's it matter if she's a "prep" and you're a "skater"! who cares! That doesn't mean you can't find chemistry! You never know until you try, Dear. And I understand you're probably very attracted to girl number two, but if you get together with her... would the possibility of losing that mutual friend come into play? It's true you can't let someone else run your life, but that's generallyu a strict upspoken rule of friendship.. ya just don't go there... so I guess just ask yourself if she is worth the loss of that friend! And if nothing else, you can always have that chick as a friend, and I'm sure she'd be a great one to you! And as for getting trying to woo her, just be polite... SMILE... smiling is KEY. Compliment her, pay interest in her favorite things and the rundown of her day. Approach her at school whenever possible, and just be all around outgoing and respectful; not many girls will turn away friendship from a sweet respecting guy.
Hope I helped!
Hannah
