Is he pushing me away?

My BF of 3weeks and I were talking about a friend who recently god dumped. And then he said if i dumped him he wouldnt really care. said he's sealed all his emotions off from the world. i'm not sure if he really knows he hurt me when he said that. i dont want to break up with him. im hoping that he will turn into a serious bf. but when he said that it made me feel like he was only going out with me to get some. or just thinking nothing of it. i havent wanted to give up on life in a long time, but now i feel i want to agian cause nothing goes right! what can i do!! i want this relationship to last but i dont want it to be fake. how can i see if its for real?
