toothache...i think Omg, can anyone help me? It's almost 3 in the morning where I'm at, and my gum's hurting really bad. It's in the back, where I used to have wisdom teeth. I got them taken out way back in Oct. and haven't had a problem since. It's not my tooth, it's my gum, but I don't know. I don't think it's gingivitis, because it's not red at all. I checked for anything there, like food, but found nothing. So far, I've tried brushing my teeth and using rinse, but that didn't help. I took some painkillers about a half hour ago, but it hasn't helped much either. Does anyone know what this could be? And what can I do to stop the pain? Thanks so much, I'll rate.
x3 Erin

if your around 12,13,14 and its your gum that hurts you could be gettin your 13 year old molars and yea they will hurt reallllly bad trust me just take some pain killers and i hope it goes away fast :) remember theres 4 that need to grow in x0o hOlly lEe ]
Ouch..toothaches arent fun, are they!!?
i would suggest drinking lots of cold water and gargling salt water. dont suck on anything, like a candy or a straw, because that will have pressure on your gum and make it hurt worse. try and get an appointment to the dentist as soon as possible. hope i helped you, feel better! ]
go to a dentist as soon as you can and then can then tell you what is definatley wrong.

Toothache sucks i had it all last week until i went to the dentist! That really is the best thing to do - ask for an emergency appointment and they'll sort you out right away probably with some antibiotics. In the mean time i found that rinsing my mouth out with salt water helps any infection (if you have one) from getting worse. To prevent the pain if you're already taking pain killers continue, and try either holding a hot water bottle next to it or a pack of ice to numb it- it worked a treat for me! Hope you feel better ]
Well, actually, pain killers would be the worst for this situation, so you should try to apply ice. Not mush of a help, but that's all I can think of

see a dentist in the morning and in the meentime drink cold water ]
Hmm. I honestly can not say I know how you feel, ERin, because I have NEVER EVER had pain in my teeth. HoweveR, I can sympathize foR you, but I know that's not a solution to youR pRoblem. The only thing I can think of [which isn't too genius] would be taking some Advil oR IbupRofen if accessible. Advil is gReat because it thins out youR blood, and will get it flowing betteR, which Reduces any swelling which might be pResent. And IbupRofen is just a MEAN painkilleR all togetheR. OtheR than that, you've done good by bRushing youR teeth, and you should simply tRy laying down and tRying to get some sleep. I'm Really soRRie I can't be of moRe help to you; I know this pRobably wasn't anything that you haven't alReady thought of, but I DO wish you well!! Hope I helped! Take caRe! =D
***EDIT***: Taking pain killeRs is the **BEST** thing to do in youR situation, until such time as you can get an opinion fRom youR dentist. If you have any doubts on whetheR pain killeRs aRe appRopRiate oR not... you can look it up online, and it'll say the same thing I told you -- It doesn't take a genius to know Advil Reduces swelling, so "perfectangelaly" gave you some pRettie cRappie advice, which when it comes to decReasing pain.. is Really unappReciated, I'm shoRe.
Feel better! ]
