i think my mom is hiding something from me n my sister. i think she smokes but doesnt tell us.she tells us never to smoke but thats it.when i get in her car it smells like smoke. and she tries to take cigarettes from my dad w/o him knowing n he never notices one of his cigarettes is gone. once i saw her sitting outside( @ nite time)w/ 1 in her hand. but im afraid to tell sum-1 or mention it....so what should i do? tell my sister(shes almost 20) or jus bring it up to her somehow?

Maybe give some free advice about: Random Weirdos? shortiebebe021 answered Saturday May 7 2005, 5:32 pm: your mom is doing some good for you and your sister by hiding the fact she smokes so you two won't come up with her bad habit either. your dad smokes so your mom probably picked it up from him. of course your parents know smoking is bad for your lungs and all but smoking is extremely addicting and it gets so hard to stop once you started. you should tell your sister, she's 20 and at that age, she does have some power. i know it's hard but she's your sister, and it's about your family, she needs to know about these things too. when your mother finally confesses, think of ways to stop them from smoking. first limit them to only a certain number of cigarettes a day. over time, have less and less. the problem is that it's so addicting, they could just go out and buy some more without letting you know. but it's worth a try. if they continue this habit, at least tell them to smoke outside so you and your sister won't get second hand smoke. good luckk!! :) [ shortiebebe021's advice column | Ask shortiebebe021 A Question ]
