I'm a freshman at highschool and I have been liking a guy since the beginning of the school year. We've been friends ever since, but lately he told one of my friends that he liked me too. He wanted her to tell me, so she did and now ... it's like I'm not acting like the real me when he's around, and I kind of feel 'scared.' I can tell he's trying every way to strike up a conversation with me, and I feel like he's about to make a move and I know it may sound stupid but, I afraid of it. Is it because I'm not ready for a relationship yet? I really do like him, and want to be more than friends, but there's just something that's holding me back. Thank you!

I think that you're just having some nervous feelings, like whether you guys will work out or not. Or you're just nervous if you will screw up something, I know that I was always nervous about that too! You may be ready for a relationship, but you have to be yourself around him first before you commit to someone. Sleep on it for maybe a day or two and if you still like him or not after thinking about it then talk to him! Try to be yourself and relax a bit, because if he liked you before all this then he liked you for the real you. Relationships can be a bit nerve wrecking since you're commiting to someone & nobody else, plus you feel like you have to be perfect for him, but trust me he likes you for you =] Lucky you!
