this may not sound like a problem but it has been bugging me for a while. my so-called 'best friend' is a real bitch. but no one can really see it but me, everyone thinks she so nice and funny..which she is. but then like she treats me and only me like absolute SHIT sometimes. i try and help her with her problems and she never thanks me but when someone else does she makes a big deal of it and even better when i have a problem she doesnt even seem to care about me at all! plus there was this guy i liked and i introduced them kind of and they start talking and now she likes him and he seems pretty fond of her and i just hate it all, its like she cant read my feelings, or like..doesnt even try to. do u just have any advice on what i should do or maybe say to her, im just really sick of this

I used to have a friend like that too, she was really nice on paper to everyone else, but then she would just let everything loose on me. But don't think of it as her treating you like shit, but more as that you're the only person she can just feel comfortable and herself around. I know it sucks and everything but maybe you just have to tell her how you feel, she should definitely understand if she's a true friend, and it's big that you don't feel like she's there for you, so tell her that too cause you always need someone to talk to. The boy situation always sucks. Because boys can always tend to sneak into friendships and tear them apart obliviously. If she knows you like him, which i doubt, then she's being really unfair. But it sounds like she doesn't or maybe she just doesn't want to think about it that way. Do not get boys come in between you guys though. I relate to everything you told me and it sucks, I know. Write back if I didn't cover everything. :) [ kristyx's advice column | Ask kristyx A Question ]
