First off, do you like him just because he is "hot"? Just some ethical concerns you may want to take into consideration.
In direct response to your query, ask him out, but not when there are many other people around. You'd be amazed how sick men get of having to do all the pursuing in a relationship. Unless you have a second head which is not spoken for here, most guys won't turn down a girl who makes the first move like that.

Well, if you don't tell him, you're never going to get anywhere. If you aren't afraid of losing a friendship with him, tell him how you feel. If you only like him because he's hot then chances are your relationship isn't going to last very long. So I suggest thinking about this carefully, do you really want a relationship, or do you just want a hot guy to show off to all your friends? If you answered the last one, think about whether or not he is superficial enough to care about how you really feel.

k, this depends....if you are really shy but you have like a good friend that knows you like him, then you should ask your friend to tell him that you like him. If not and you feel like you just wanna tell him yourself, then go for it...if its you telling him, then i advise you to like IM him and tell him or like tell him on the phone or write a note or something, but not directly, because lots of times you get really nervous when you do it right directly to them and you say something really stupid...k, i can tell u all that, but i am not too good with telling you what to say...so sorry about that! I'm in the same boat, and I came up with what I think is a good plan. On yearbook signing day, tell him that you want to sign his yearbook B4 he signs yours. Then write something like "I really like you. Will you go out with me?" then let him read it. hopefully he will write something like "I like you 2. yeah, I'll go out with you"
