Having a pet is a big responsibility, so make sure you have the time to dedicate to a guinea pig before you get one! If at all possible, look into your local shelters or rescues to find your guinea pig rather than buying from a pet store; there are many pigs who need new homes out there, and the pigs at pet stores are often mistreated and unhealthy.
As far as some websites, here are a few great resources. I hate to say it, but DO NOT trust the information given to you buy pet store employees; for the most part they do not give out correct information and will often recommend products that may be unhealthy for your pet simply to sell those products.

Umm, guinea pigs are fun to trap in a corner and poke with a stick. Also setting firecrackers off in their cage is fun as they endlessly run in circles to escapre their firey demise. ]
Why not try this website www.pimms-pages.co.uk it has loads of information to get you started with your guinea pigs, it tells you about different kinds of guinea pigs, what products to use, and feeding ect. It should really get you started with all the basic info. There are loads more if you search in google. If you cannot find the relevant iformation you need why go to your pet shop, becuase they usally have books on different pets or you could ask someone who works there to help you. Hope this helps you out and good luck when buying your guinea pig. ]
pets.com or google it, they're really easy to maintain.
