Latin to English??

My friend IMed this to me.. i asked him what it meant.. and he told me to look it up.. except, it doesnt make sense.. He said its latin..
soo here it is:

Amor vincit omnia
Odi et amo

They are two different phrases, that's why this didn't make sense to you when you read them together.

Amor vincit omnia means "Love conquers all" and Odi et amo means "I hate her, I love her."

I looked it up on google. They were two different phrases.
