blacking out/ can't remember/ can't comprehend

sometimes someone will be asking me something really simple and i have no idea what they're saying. its not that i can't hear them, i can hear, im just not processing it, and im like whaattt??? its so weird. i get spaced out all the time, but i bounce back if someone askes me something. today it happened in math and my teacher was asking me something ive known sice what 4th or 5th grade? (im in 9th grade math). and i was so out of it and couldnt get what she was saying.. and now the class thinks im retarded haha i dont care about that tho. why do you think this happens?

I have the same problem, it's like when your bored you space out and start day dreaming and then when you hear someone talking to you, all you can really remember is that they were talking but you don't know what the question was or what they were saying exactly. It's perfectly normal, it's just a lot on your mind and you don't deal with it well. If you let some things go and try to concentrate it may help. I hope this helps, Good Luck!

Don't worry about the class thinking youre a retard; cause your not. You might have ADD like i do.. It's this thing where you cant stay focused in a alot of times. I have it, its nothing to worry about. Well at least i dont..

It is very possible you have Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). You would talk to your parents about this and go see a doctor. They will treat you with medication that will aid you in keeping your focus and not "looking like a retard."
