I have naturally tight curly hair its like in ringlets, also it is frizzy. I hate it soo much. PLUS it is REAllY thick its like when my hair is down it comes out like 5 inches off my head well I dont exactly measure.. anyway. Yes, people always take the mikky out of my hair and its just so big, curly and frizzy... I try straightening it but it takes 4 hours and its not completly straight and its still big and frizzy even when i use "Hot straight". I use strong mouse, 'Deffine & No frizz", "Just for me lotion", and all kinds of things on my hair but its till frizzy, big and curly! How can i make my hair look sleek, shiney, straight, thing and no frizz!! People say getting it layered helps but i tried that and my hair looks even worse and its thicker! Please, please, please, PLEASE help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Buy the "wet to straight" straightener by remington. you use it on your hair is wet it drys and straightend so its not as frizzy
2. You could also use a regular clothes iron on your hair. you have to lie down n the floor and spread your hair out with a towel under it though. and you need to have someone else do this for you
hope I helped

LoveNJstyle answered Friday April 8 2005, 7:10 pm: whatever you do, DO NOT get it layered! you could get it chemically straigtened or just thinned. if you use too many things, your hair will just get frizier and end up all dry and damaged. my hair is also crazy. after i take a shower i put it in a pony tail and it stays neat all day. i know its supposably "bad" to do it, but i dont see any negative change from doing it. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
sweetypie answered Thursday April 7 2005, 11:35 pm: i have the same problem. DONT CHEMICALLY RELAX IT NOT EVEN THE JAPANEESE CHI. i did and it was straight for 2 months.and yes it was expensive 150 dollars. what i do now is as soon as you get out the shower put frizz eze serum or somthing along that line. just squeeze out your hair dont rub or pat with a towel. then right after the serum put gel anything for curls i like the loreal in the dented bottle i think its springing curls. NEVER USE MOUSSE. the purpoe of mousse is to give more body wich really means expand it and we dont need that. so then after the gel in let it allmost dry then use the defuser never dry your hair without one dont scrunch the hair justput your fingers on the ends and pull down while holding the difuser on it that will loosen it up when dry just add a little more serum then spray it with humidity resistan hair spray then you should be fine hope that helps i know it was long but it took me years im 20 to figure that routine and trust me it works also when you cut it have them thin it out with thinning shears. annacannasea answered Thursday April 7 2005, 8:27 pm: okay i have the same prob to a certain degree and i know a girl with an even bigger degree of this frizz biz. she told me about this thing she was trying to calm her crazy hair. she said that she was washing her hair with conditioner--no shampoo--everyday for a week without putting gel or spray in it afterwards and after a week all her frizz was completely gone and she never had to use any product in her hair. to do this, i'd suggest waiting until you're out of school for a week so that you wont have to go to school with frizzy hair or just feel self concious about it. and after that...you should be free to go! hey if you do end up trying this...let me know how it turns out! peace. Karen answered Thursday April 7 2005, 6:58 pm: Getting your hair Japanese straightened (it's called a Japanese Straight Perm or something along those lines) and your hair will stay straight, smooth, and frizz free until your hair starts to grow and you can see your roots. It doesn't cost that much to get it done and it's recommended for girls who have big, curly, and frizzy hair.
If you don't want to do that and you just want to stick with products, then I suggest that you switch over to using Pantene Pro-V's "Smooth and Sleek" shampoos and conditioners. It works really well and it will make your hair smooth and straighter. John Freida and Paul Mitchell have some products for your hair type. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
