Okay, so my hairdresser told me an inexpensive trick to get my hair dye out. It is a semi-perminent, but it isn't washing out at all. So, she said to use dish detergent. I've heard this trick before, so I decided to do it. I've only done it once so far and obviously it didn't do anything. That's what I expected. But.. to cut to the chase.. how many times should I repeat the process without damaging my hair into a frizzy poof-ball atop my head?

You should repeat the process a few more times until you notice the hair dye fading away. That can take a few days to a week but like I said, it depends on your hair.
