When I was six a firecracker went off next to my head and it permanently messed up my hearing. I have a constant ringing that never, ever goes away. It's been giving me insomnia cause it keeps me up, and I can't drown it out with music cause that keeps me up even more. Does anybody know something I can mask this with that won't keep me up at night? Thanks...

You should see a hearing specialist about tinitis. It was on the tv here the other day and aparantly there's no cure for it yet but I think there's special headphones you can use so if you got to a hearing specialist they should have something to help you sleep.
Good luck, hun.

This might sound stupid and frankly i dont care if it does lol: Try cleaning your ears with a qtip. just to maybe make the hair thingys stop moving as much. Idk lol thats what i would do. xO ali [ BeFABULOUSxo's advice column | Ask BeFABULOUSxo A Question ]
FunkyHoMoSapien answered Friday March 25 2005, 5:04 am: that ringing is 100% natural. even people with hearing can hear it. this is all because of the hair folicals in your ears and there movement. the only reason that people with hearing dont hear it as much is because they hear other things that over power that sound. so the only way to make it stop is to hear sumthin that louder than it is. which will be hard.... but a hearing aid might be able to help... i really sorry about your hearing, i hope i helped.
