Question Posted Thursday March 17 2005, 8:28 pm

I was wondering... does saute always mean cook in oil? or can it be like something else? could you saute something in like lemon juice? (that would be gross) but i wanna try to invent something food-wise...

i guess you can saute stuff with anything you want. if you can only saute stuff with oil, and you saute something with lemon juice (or anything else), then you would have to name it something else. then you would have invented something food wise. get what im saying? hope i helped!

Yeah you saute it with a sauce or something to give it a little extra taste!
