That's always hard, switching schools and trying to meet some new people. You can always try to strike up conversations with some of your classmates. You could say you don't understand your work. Then look around and find someone that is worth asking about your work. Once they show you how to do it, you chould say a simple "Hello, my name is (Your name). I just moved here". Then the converstation should start to pick up from there. Or if you see someone in the hallway, smile. If you smile a lot while your talking to people. They'll know that your nice. If people realize that your a nice/caring person, they'll come up on their own and start talking with you.
