Hey do i deal with my ex. We just split up on saturday and i'm total deversated but my mate dragged me out tonight for some drinks. 19/f/uk. Well my ex spoke to everyone but me he even spoke to my mom how do i deal with it even though he said he wanted to be mates? xx

If he said he wants to be friends, and went so far as to talk to your mother, then he probably does wnat to be friends. However, you both just broke off. I'm sure that even being in the same room together would feel awkward. You both need a little time to adjust, so you can feel comfortable with each other again. When me and my ex broke up, we didn't see each other for a couple weeks, and when we did, we got along just fine; maybe even better than when we were dating.
Just take some time to cool down. I'm sure you both need it.

Although he might want to still be mates, maybe it is just too hard and too soon to be talking directly like nothing has happened. There is nothing to deal with. Just get your own head in order and let time sort out whether you can hang together as mates or not.

Well, you can still be friends with him. So call him every now and then and see how he is doing. He might have just wanted to be friends and see if anyone else was out there in the world for him.
