Question Posted Saturday February 26 2005, 7:21 am
I used to have a lisp. When I was in third grade, my mom asked my teacher about it, and he said it wasn't a problem. Well, it's a problem now. I constantly get made fun of. Yesterday was the worst. This kid kept on making fun of me in art class when I was on the computer. I finally just got up and left the room, while the teacher was yelling at him. I have two questions.. Is that harassment? How can I get rid of my lisp? My mom says she doesn't even notice it anymore, but it's obviously still a problem.

You don't deserve to be treated like this, just because you have a lisp. If you're teeth are messed as in you really need braces, then you could get braces because my friend had a lisp because her teeth were messed up but once her teeth were fixed, her lisp was gone. Or you can go to a speech therapist and they will help you out.

And you can have surgery done to get rid of your lisp. Cause there's like extra skin or something in your mouth that's making that lisp. Hope this helps!!!!
