me and my bf just broke up.. he doesnt wnt to ruin the friendship we had before.. is there anything i can do in the future if ever we do want to get back together that will make him want to stay with me even though it could mess up our friendship?

Try to be there for him as any friend would do for him . Don't try to focus on being with him in the future because you need to worry about the present . You need to find out why you two broke up and once you do, try not doing that in the future and that will make this guy want to stay with you. If you two broke up, then it means that your relationship with this guy couldn't work out but if you ever do get a chance to start a relationship with him, don't say or do anything that caused you to break up the first time.

I really don't think theres anything anyone can do to be a better girlfriend. You know if a relationship feels right for you all. Maybe he felt it didn't? and personally, I thynk thats really respectful to not want to ruin a friendship feeling something will go wrong. What's meant to be will happen so just focus for now on being friends.
