Question Posted Friday February 25 2005, 5:39 am

Recently i got a progress report with a lot of negative comments from my teacers like i am unable to be focused in class and that i don't complete my homework on time. That is sort of true. I really need help because i don't know what I'm doing wrong..

I come home, do my homework, sometimes i forget. But i listen to music while i do my homework and I am probaly on the computer more... I really do not know what to do and my parents are making me go to the councelor but i have already been there on Thursaday and i will be called back in on Monday or Tuesday. The councelor was also at a parent teacher confrence this morning but i don't know what he said and i don't want to know.

Well, this is the same thing I used to do, too.Now I'm going to tell you what I did : I did something very very bad and my parents got upset. They were so angry and well, they turned off the computer, took away my CD player and that was it. I couldn't do anything, I was bored and I still wasn't able to study. My parents helped me out then. I study everyday in my grandma's apartment (it's an empty apartment). I'm having a real hard time, but that's how it is : you get used to it.
I don't think you should do the same, but simply turn off your computer, hide a CD player or say to your parents to do it instead of you.

Okay probably the reeason why you are getting all of thesse comments is you have been not able to stay focus. Just set a time right after school and just do homework. Close your door dont turn any music on just take out the books. I know its boring but once you get it over with then you are done. Dont stop or get distracted go right through. No body wants to do it but you have to and thats the only way you can get by if you dont want to have those comments. Then the rest of the night you dont have to worry about it just listen to music and do whatever you want. Maybe you can try hanging out with frien ds until a certain time and when you get home treat it like you are getting home from school and get right to the books. To pay attention in class just participate alot by raising hand so you dont get bored. Hope I helped good luck please rate thanks =) xo0

You should try scheduling your afternoons. Like an hour or two for homework each night and with that left over time you use to read REAL books.

If it still doesn't get better, try seeing a psycologist. You might have ADD or ADHD. It's not that big a deal as long as you fix it early. I live with someone who has it and just one pill and determination can make a whole hell of a lot of things better. hope i helped! ~Kylie~

well judging from your situation, since i didn't really get a question, it seems that you looking for ways to get better in school and stuff. well first off, dont listen to music and do homework at the same time. unless it helps u learn, like me. another thing. think music and the computer as a reward for finishing your homework well. I think it could help, that if you were to give your self an allowance on how much time you spend on the computer or listening to music. this will give you a lot of spare time, to maybe do your homework. and check over it. and if you want to do better in class think of what your parents will think and do if you get more bad grades! now i hope thats wat you askin help for cause you didn't give me a question. good luck with your grades
