Question Posted Monday February 21 2005, 5:59 pm

I'm 14 and I wanted to go to the movies with a guy friend. When I told my parents, they didn't believe me so they didn't let me go. They thought he was more than just a friend. I don't know how to get my parents to trust me and besides I think I'm old enough to date guys. I have never done anything that would get my parents to not trust me either. I just don't understand...please help me

hey! well a lot of parents don't trust kids b/c they dont know/want what their kids are getting into...and im sure that you're not the only kid w/ this problem =p ..but for parents being able to trust you and all, it might take a little while..so to prove that they can trust you, you need to show it through your actions, not just your words. and then they'll be able to trust you and you can have more privelages! hope i helped =) good luck! *rachel*
