old hollywood style

i want to turn my room into an old hollywood style, kinda hotel room type of thing, but where the stars stayed, and by old i mean like the 20's 30's 40's hollywood theme, breakfast at tiffanys, casablanca, etc. i want it to look like the fancy hotels of that time with the posters from movies of that time, i know where to get the posters, but what, and where do i get the other stuff?????? please help, i rate well!

Well, I'd recommend you enter the first store with furniture. The point is in well-organized things, not in the furniture! You might want to get posters with frames...or simply create your own posters. And a Rex chair will also do good!
You have to get a book (yes, they actually do exist) and then you'll see what to do next.

Yoiu could try hobby lobby or Michaels, (if they have one around you) and you could also look on the internet for those types of things hope this helps!

Hey, furniture stores, vintage stores, garage sales, 'steet sales' the sales they have at schoo. swamp meet. Im totally serious they have awsome stuff! If not you can make your own stuf like with your old furniture!

you should really focus on the walls and furniture in the room. those era's had a very dramatic feel, so play that up. try wallpaper or fabric walls circa that era. with furniture, try rich fabrics in golds, pinks and emerald greens among others. again, keep in mind the dramatic affect that those era's hold. good luck decorating!
