help!
hi .. i just found out that i am infected with the HIV virus from having unprotected sex..does that mean i am going to die ?!?! help please

no it doesn't necessarily mean it. but you must have gone to the doctor or else how would you have even known you have the virus. how long have you had the HIV? the sooner you get it treated, the better. HIV goes after your CD4 cells in your immune system, which totally control it pretty much so they can't produce antibodies anymore. HIV actually doesn't kill you, its the opportunity viruses or w/e that do, since your antibodies can't stop it. i'm not a big science person so you should def. ask your doctor about it. you may die but you may not.. but there have been a few cases in Africa where people got HIV but they didn't get infected (they were immune to it) but there's like a 1/1038439593475487597 chance you will have that. but not everyone with HIV dies, but it is one of the leading death cases. i'll pray for you!! =) good luck!
