Question Posted Friday February 4 2005, 3:07 pm

I broke up with my boyfriend because he was slacking off on his school work and getting in trouble. But other than those things, I still really like him. I can't get over him! Today we hung out and had a lot of fun. I think want him back but I'm scared to ask. And what about the reason I broke up with him in the 1st place? Has anyone got any ideas on what I should do?

yeah well just because hes slacking off it doesn't mean you shouldn't like him. if you have fun with him and you can't get over him u oviously like him so take a chance and ask him out i'm sure he'll say yeah.

Well, I would say to go for it. Get closer to him if you like him. Maybe, if you encourage him, he'll work harder to do better in school. It sounds like you really dig him, so again, go for it and have fun with him. Hope I helped!

I think that breaking up with him for those reasons was a really mature, responsible thing to do, and you should stick with that desicion. Even if you still like him in some ways, you should be with someone who you can respect.

Hey Karen.
If he isn't still slacking off on his work or anything, then I would say go for it. But if he still has the same problems, then you two will be right back where you were in the beginning.

Thats really not a reason. You could always help him with his work and problems. Just go back out withhim and before you do make some things clear. Tellhim that somethings have to change and if he cant manage school work and a gf then i think he needs to fix it his problems on his own without you braking up with him

ok thoes in my opinon arent really good reasons to break up with a guy but if you say so you should tell him that you still have feelings for him and explain why you broke up with him in the first place and maybe hell change good luck from *kristen*
