Question Posted Wednesday February 2 2005, 9:16 pm

Hi Sbeth090..I clicked "Random Columnists" and it led me to you..But anyways..

I really need help..
One of my GOOD friends is seriously into the whole self-mutilation thing..I don't know if you have ever had a friend like that..But I'm really scared. She could seriously hurt Herself one day..And I really don't want to lose her. She's really fun to be around..She doesn't act like she's depressed..But She told me she was like that and I have seen scars and such on her..What should I do? I really care for her..I just don't know how to tell her that..And I want her to know that I'll ALWAYS be here for her..ALWAYS!!

..Andrew

well.. maybe just make it obvious to her htat you will ALWAYS be there for her and maybe she will turn to you instead of hurting herself.. sounds like to me shes just goin through a rough time right now, and she doesnt know any other way to deal without and she thinks its the only thing she really has control over.. but just tell her that you are always there for her, and if it doesnt look liek its workin then find someone/anyone to talk to about it, cuz if you dont you could loose a friend :/ good luck with this!
