Yo! MFS here...
since I wanted to test your inbox for you, I thought I'd spew a question about fencing...
I assume you do line fencing. What swords do you use? Mostly foil? Do you use epee or rapier?
I have an epee, but I accidentally stepped on it a few years ago when we moved into the house - bent the tang... not going to use that sword again.
I fenced in the SCA, so it was medieval stuff, and not olympic style in the least... in fact, ours was more like old-school duels straight from the renaissance - knocking your opponent's blade out of the way with your free hand, using 2 swords, etc... crazy stuff.
And then one day, they said we couldn't use epees anymore, and made us all buy schlagers.
Ever fence with a schlager? Not exactly the lightest blade in the world.
Anyway, I love swordplay.

That's so weird! It's working for this question but the other question I have still isn't working! But, I fence mainly foil. I've never used an epee, and since it's my first year fencing, and I really don't know much about every single differen't weapon, I've never heard of a rapier. My team has Foil, Epee, and Sabre. It's not like medievel really, it's just line fencing. It's great fun. We had Santelli's on Sunday and my captians who are Varsity fencers are still so beat up I have to fill in for them at our meet today. YIKES! I'm a little shaken, but it's a new team so they won't be that great... I hope. We've had our team for 30 years at my highschool. It's great to know someone else on this site actually has some experience fencing! I've asked a bunch of questions before about fencing and no one knew. Most of the time they'd just tell me to ask their brother and give me their screen name.
