Job sites?
I don't know whether its the fact that Detroit has no jobs, or I'm not looking hard enough, but I can't seem to find any. I've already gone to teens4hire.com and theres nothing in my area. I'm only 16 and I think its important that I get a job while I have the safety net of my mom and my brother. so if you can give me any websites for teens that have updates on jobs, I would really appreciate it.

My guess? You're not searching hard enough. The most effective way of finding a job hasn't changed in the past hundred years . . .goin' door to door.
Start going to businesses that you're a customer of; places you think you'd like to work. (Mall stores, Target, food places) and ask for an application. It may take a couple dozen of applications, but at least one will call you back.
One thing you got to remember; you can't be picky about where you work. You're sixteen. You have no work history. Employers typicly don't expect too much from sixteen-year olds, either. They want someone who can show up on time, and will actually work while on the clock. Once you establish a few months worth of work history, then you can be more picky. (You can always apply for jobs you want while working for a job you hate . . .)
