Too much to cope with

Question Posted Wednesday January 26 2005, 3:19 pm

I'm finding myself totally depleted of energy more and more of the time at the moment. All my school work is mounting up and I've got exams coming up that I've had no time to study for since I've been too busy doing all the coursework etc. Also I have a job which is fair demandin at times. there's just too much to do all at once and i don't know how I can cope!

Also it's now gotten to the point where i can't sleep at all. I'm constantly worrying as I'm also trying to find time for a social life and the band I'm in because we've got quite a few gigs coming up. please help, I'm too tired and stressed and I just need some general advice on how to try and sort things out into some sort of order.

Tired Alex

Planning out your day could help. This may sound time consuming, but take just a few minutes in the morning to think about what you want to get done that day. (you could even write a list) Try not to worry too much about what you're going to have to do tomorrow.

About the sleeping....before you go to bed don't eat. If you eat before you sleep you'll wake up tired in the morning because your body was working all night to digest food. Also, listen to some relaxing music, or read a book. Anything that will help clear your mind of the things you're worrying about.

Try and relax, take at least one day out a week and relax. Don't think about any of your stresses. Sleep, go to a spa, anything that will relax you. Also try not to do as many things just before your exams as once they are over then you could go back to doing things that you like!

I hope this helps!!
