I realize that you submitted this question nearly 10 months ago. I apologize for the insanely large delay. However, I figured I might as well give this a shot. There's no harm in trying! :D

Anyhow, truth is, diets don't always come easy to everyone. I think the key to healthy weight loss is 'everything in moderation'. Sure it seems like you're giving up so much, but think about what you will be gaining if you feel better about yourself!! I promise you: that's the best damned prize you'll EVER find.

An important thing to remember is that no one is going to do this FOR you, so now is the time to stand up and take total charge of your body. Some tips: just try to keep yourself busy, and sleep as often as possible. Those things keep your mind off of food.

Now, I know you didn't spefically ask for exercise suggestions, but I figure it couldn't hurt, so why not, right!? :D

Well, we'll start out with the obvious: exercise.
A few good activities that can simply assist in porportioning the body in it's ENTIRTY would be anything that gets the blood circulation goin', such as: jogging, jumping jacks, jumping rope, walking, and bicycle riding. Also, if you have access to a heated pool, water aerobics work like a charm!!

And if you'd like to target your tummie specifically, try doing a couple hundred sit ups or crunches. I know, I know, I know.. "a couple hundred' SEEMS like a lot, but if you break it up into sessions, it's not that difficult, really.

For directions on doing a correct crunch, check out:

To tone your butt and thighs, do leg lifts. To do these, stand up straight, and slowly move your leg -ONLY YOUR LEG- backwards. Like, say you're going to kick something, but kick BARKWARDS, and DON'T BEND YOUR KNEES!! Make sense???

To tone your arms, take two dum bells [whatever weight works for you]. Put one in each arm, and stand up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart. Bring the dum bells up to your chest with your elbows folded out [like Tarzan pounding his chest-sort of motion, ya know?] Then at a MEDIUM speed... extend your arms out to the side, and slowly bring them back in. You can do two at a time to help balance the strength build up and toning, or do one at a time if it's easier. THIS DOES CUH-RRRRAZZIIEEEEEEE AMOUNTS OF MIRCALE!!!!!!!!!! If you do it for at least 20 minutes a day you'll see a GIGANTIC difference in a week, TOPS. I do them all the time; it's fun!!

Also, providing you cut out the EXTREMELY unhealthy foods, such as WHITE bread [substitute it with wheat], cake products, ice cream, hamburgers, and soda... [if you're used to consuming A LOT of it] you can see a significant amount of weight loss after the first two weeks, alone.

You can find lists of healthy foods at:

As you probably already know, it's best to eat several small portions a day; but this does not mean to "starve" yourself. Say, have an apple and a piece of cheese, two hours later have a few crakers, and an hour later have one piece of wheat toast, and so on and so forth, ya know??? And those are just some snack ideas. When it comes to solid meals, you don't really have to cut out much. Just take in moderation. Little intakes of food like that gives your body time to digest it properly. You see how that's better than eating one or two huge meals a day?? Because then it would take too long to catch up, and your body will not be able to burn the calories quick enough; so it just quits, turning into body fat.

I can't really say how long it will take; I suppose that differs from person to person. It really just depends on how much weight you're looking to shed. I'd say you could lose 10 to 20 pounds within the first month; that's very possible (seeing as how a good portion of that 10-20 pounds will be water weight).

At any rate, goodluck to you! Feel free to get ahold of me personally if you'd like any other information or opinions! I'd be happie to help where I can! :D

I used to diet and all that stuff too. I snacked all the time. Like ALL the time. It was hard for me to stop my cravings. So my friend told me that if you chew on ice cubes it helps the cravings. I don't like just plain water so i add lemon jucie to them or i freeze crystal light juices.. (They only have like 10 cal and no sugar). It's really good. Also, before you eat/drink anything unhealthy drink 2 full glasses of water and then you won't feel as hungry. I hope these help.

Well you just got to stay positive and make yourself stick to it. You just got to stay away from the tempting foods. Weather its hard or not :-P trust me i know. If you want a really effective diet try the south beach diet. I always reccommend it-trix

The first few days are the easiest. As you diet longer losing weight becomes a lot harder. Sorry, but it's true. Just try your hardest and if you do eat something, exercise. Run to burn it off. When you are lying around, do flutter kicks or pushups, o situps. (flutter kicks are when you lay on the ground and kick your legs a little bit off the ground. Try really hard to eat healthy. Maybe if you lose a certain amount of weight, reward yourself. You always try hardest if you know you're getting something! Hope everything works out!

Maybe you should put a picture of someone with the type of body you want to have in the mirror so when you wake up in the morning, it will motivate you to want to look like that.
