How to get rid of the unwanted guy

Theres this guy, and he is on my sports team at school, and he likes me and doesn't leave me alone, how do i tell him to stop hitting on me, but that i still want him as a friend?

Just straght up tell him that you don't like him like THAT and you just wanna be friends, as long as you don't say it w.a mean tone in your voice or anything and if you're really still friends with him, he'll be ok
