so i've got this friend. one of my best. everytime she does something to make me angry or truly upset me, i just brush it off, because in the retrospect of everything, those little things don't matter. they're not worth getting mad over, and fighting over...so i let all of these things slide that she does. there are times when she says things or does things that hurt me but i let it go.
so when i make one teeny tiny mistake...EVER...if i EVER joke about her, come CLOSE to offending her with my joking, say anything that would upset her...she suddenly shuts me off, gets mad, wont talk to me, holds it against me FOREVER.
whatthecrap. how do you deal with that?

OK well what we have is a difference in personality types. No big. If the friendship means alot to you then you will learn to meet in the middle. You need to explain to her really nicely how that makes you feel and how you both should make an effort to meet in the middle. You express your feelings more and she less. A good friendship is alot like a romantic relationship its give and take. Sounds like alot of it is attention though, she does that to make sure you care. But that is a different problem all together... just keep on workin and learn to communicate!! :)
