my best friend changed her mind and i dont kno wut to say

ok my friend wanted me to date her exbf she said that he and i would be realli good for eachother at first i was very hesitant to date him but she kept goin on about how good we would be for eachother and i got thinkin about some of the stuff she told me about him and she told him about me and he wanted to meet me and stuff but then like the next day at skool she came in and said she changed her mind and didnt want me to date him. she realli had my hopes up for a good relationship seen as i havent been in a serious one since me and my first true love broke up i mean just hearing about how nice he was and how respectful and sweet he is realli got my hopes up and now i dont kno wut to say to my friend about it i wanna kno wut made her change her mind about it and why she even mentioned it if she wasnt sure about it but i dont want her to get mad at me over it bc she is my best friend and i love her to death. plz help me if u can...~lostlove_diminshedfaith~
