Dart Boards? I never understood what the pattern on dart boards is. I researched this left and right, up and down, and I can't find the answer anywhere. The order of dartboards. It's something like 5,20,1, etc. Find it. It has no pattern at all, i've searched clockwise, counterclockwise, and across, and I want to find where the inventor got his placement of these numbers, because nothing in this world is random.

This one intruiged me, so I looked it up. To quote the from the site that I've linked above:<br>
<br>
"Suppose we decide that the bigger the difference between numbers of adjacent sectors, the bigger the risk to the player, and so the more exciting the game of darts. Then one reasonable measure of the "excitement level" of a dartboard is the sum of the differences between all pairs of adjacent numbers. Another alternative measure that particularly emphasises bigger differences is the sum of the squares of the differences between all pairs of adjacent numbers. The standard dartboard (below left) does pretty well with respect to both of these measures, but is not the best possible. The arrangement illustrated below right, is an optimal arrangement for both measures of excitement."<br>

So, basically, really crappy numbers (low numbers) have good numbers around them (high numbers). Numbers in the middle have other mid-range numbers near them. ]
