LDS stands for "The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints", Latter Day Saints=LDS. Were also called Mormons because of "The Book Of Mormon" and so people call us Mormons. I perfer LDS. If you want all the info I would suggest you go to www.mormon.org
