ok this is going to be kind of long but... okay i have liked this guy since the beginning of this year and this past week i have finally like starting talking with him and stuff. and im generally really shy around guys so this is like big for me lol. and so the problem is.. i just found out that my other friend kind of likes him too. yeah. but she doesnt know that i like him. and i have only known her since september or october. and i kind of want to tell her but mym best friends don't even know because im just not that kind of person. and so its just like now that he's finally talking to me, she likes him. also shes like really pretty and popular. and i am just okay looking and average popularity. and i really like him and this would be my first like REAL boyfriend. should i tell her? or would it ruin our friendship?

Its ok to "lay low" for awhile. Thats one option. You could continue to talk to him..and if things go right..maybe you guys will hook up!
The other plan is to tell your friend if you want. If your the type of person to want to tell your friends..then go for it. But judging by what you said in your questions..you dont seem to be that type. but..how do you know she likes him? Did she tell you? If she did..and you "go for the kill" and get him..it might hurt her. You could just say "i like him also.." and hopefully things wont be too weird between you guys and whoever gets him first..the other should lay off. I hope i made sense? lol good luck
