Is it just a kid

Question Posted Monday November 15 2004, 8:51 pm

Okay - lol - I know this is probably a stupid opinion/question/thing, but I wanna know what you guys think. I think it's funny. It's one of those "kids say the darndest things" moments.
Okay.
My guy and I are pretty much engaged, but none of our acquaintances know. His little brother (sam) asked "are you two gonna get married?" and my bf answered in sort of a sarcastic tone "yes. Yes we are, Sam." and we just kind of laughed it off 'cause it's the second time Sam's asked us - and his mom was there, and we're keeping it quiet - and Sam said "I thought Shanna (one of my guy's friends) was your girlfriend." Everyone, including me, laughed. Shanna's one of his closest friends. Doesn't bother me in the least (my closest friends are guys), but I'm curious as to where Sam got that idea...Lol. Thing is, I almost think I should be more concerned than I am (like...I'm not.) about the fact that Sam thought Shanna was my boy's gf. We've been together for over a year. But Sam is only 7. I shouldn't be worried, should I?

dont sweat it!! its only natural that a guys best friend be mistaken as something else by the family, especially if they want ur bf to get married soon. and the kid sam, he jus said that cos he was curious. hes only 7! they say some of the weirdest thing at the weirdest times.

Well from the sounds of it, i dont really think he is. Kids say the wierdest things sometimes just to keep the conversations going and to be in the middle of attention.but if your really concerned then you could just ask your bf be like remember when sam said he thought shanna was your gf? any idea why he said that? Just ask him dont be shy to ask him youve been with him for a year! good lucK!
