Ok so in july i had my apendix taken and i was told that i might not get my period and I was ok kewl. But I got my period in august and now I haven't gotten it in 3 months. When before my surgery i had it regular for 2 years. My mom called her geinocologist(cant spell) and she said i had to wait till i didn't have it for 6 months and then even then they will examine me but wont give me anything. Is this normal?

Also, when you're young and you've just started getting your period, it isn't on a perfect schedule for about 4 years. It could be from the surgury, it could be from stress. Stress and physical activity cause your period not to come regularly. My friend was active in dance, cheerleading, soccer and basketball and she'd get her period about every 4 or 5 months. If you're still worried about it, talk to your mom and have her take you to go see a gyno sooner. Don't stress it. I'm sure you'll be fine. Hope this helped.
