Friend imposing faith on me. Hi it's a fellow spacefemmer in dire need of help. My best friend is telling me that I'm not a Christian just because I don't agree with everything the Bible says. I do believe that Jesus died for my sins, yet she insists that my faith is in dire need or help. We both lived in a small community so I was sheltered my entire life. I was told to believe in God and never given a choice. Now that I've been exposed to many types of religions and types of people, I know that my faith and views have changed, but I do believe that it's stronger. I just don't know how to get it through her head and I just want her to shut up about God and how I've drifted. I know what I belive in and would appriciate it if she just dropped the damn thing. I'm on my last nerve and I've told her sevral times that she can't change my views. Could you please give me some advice on how to get her off my back, and to make her understand that I don't need her criticizing my views?
Thank you.
A vegatable fan

D00d, totally be all like "Jesus gets mad when you try and tell me how to run my life." Or! Maybe not. I absolutely detest when someone tries to shove religion down my throat. I feel your pain.
Some people just don't get it - I really don't understand what is wrong with these people, but they just don't possess this mental capacity to see that they are pissing someone right the fuck off. Anyways, what the hell was I talking about? Right. So, next time she tries to blah blah blah you about how you are going to hell or aren't just Christian "enough" then you can either a) tell her that although you value her as a person, you don't want to hear her views about religion (be harsh otherwise she won't get it) OR b) Just tell her that her opinion isn't welcome and then just turn around and walk away.
The walking away is very drastic in that she will see that it must really bother you, and so later when she finds you again, she will ask why you just walked away and you can say 'it bothers me so much that I cannot stand to talk to you or even look at you when you preach to me.' I would think this girl will get the hint.
At least, I would hope so, for the future of the world's sake.
Even Ned Flanders points out in the Simpsons that the bible contradicts itself time and time again - how can you possibly agree with everything. Anyone who claims that they agree with it all has not read or understood it all.
Good luck! ]
