I need help. I have two really good friends. One of them is my best friend, and the other friend didnt really become my friend until last year. We actually hated each other until last year and became good friends. Anyway my best friend was telling me that the other friend was talking bad about me. She said not to ask her about it because then she would get in trouble for telling me. She was telling me for my own good, buts its hard to believe that the other friend would say that stuff about me. I'm not even upset or anything, I just wish people would tell these things to my face. I can't ask her about it thought without getting my best friend in trouble. Sometimes I even think she is making this up just to make me not want to hang out wiht the other friend. I want to believe her, but i want to believe the other friend is better than this. Please help me Laney!!
*confused

Laney answered Sunday October 31 2004, 12:22 am: Whether or not its going to get ur other friend in trouble, you need to talk to the other girl about it. If you can't talk to her, with out her lying to ur face, shes not the right person to be hanging out with. In my opinion, you should alwasy trust your best friend. Figure out which one has been there for you the longest and you trust more. However; your best friend could only be saying this stuff to you because she is jealous of you and your other friend. Talk to them both about it at seperate time, then together. Thats the only real way to solve problems! Much Love, *lane!* [ Laney's advice column | Ask Laney A Question ]
