Losing many friends...

Question Posted Monday October 25 2004, 4:27 pm

This might sound like a completely childish question... but here it goes. It seems as if all of my friends from other schools aren't my friends anymore because of my friends from my school. I'll give an example to make this somewhat easier to understand. I have a friend named Josh, he is a senior in highschool and me and all of my friends are freshman. My friend Emily met him about 2 weeks ago during lunch because I was hanging out with him. They started talking and clicked. I had no problem with it because I figured, "Oh we can all hang out now and all go to ska concerts together." Well, now Josh and Emily never talk to me anymore, they are like in their own little world and exclude me from everything that goes on. He gave her tickets to his bands concerts and didn't even bother to invite me. This has been happening with many of my friends lately and frankly I'm sick of it. Now I have a new group of friends and all of those people that hardly talk to me anymore are pissed off that I'm hanging out with my new friends instead of them. I don't understand the point of hanging out with people that want to have nothing to do with me! I'm so hurt by all of this... What should I do? Any advice is appreciated.

Additional info, added Monday October 25 2004, 4:48 pm:
Josh and Emily could never have anything going on between them because Josh is older than her by 4 years. He liked me at one point but said it would never work out because he'd be going to college soon and that I was too young for him..
