my friend is cutting herself b/c of lots of stuff how can i get her to stop she keeps saying its no big deal?? please help

well, i used to cut, and my friends have before, too. well first off you tell her how much you love her and need her around, and don't want her to end up dying from loss of blood. try telling her that the stuff she's upset about is no big deal, and the stuff that's good is great!(like frosted flakes :D ) if she asks you how to stop, tell her to put rubber bands on her wrists and snap them whenever she even so much as thinks about cutting or trying to hurt herself. then if she still cuts, tell her to use a shock pen. it hurts a lot more than rubber bands and may have a stronger impact on her decision to quit or not. i may only be 14, but i do know what i'm talking about here. hope i helped, if the problem persists, let me know and i'll see what i can do. good luck.
