I want to get my tragus pierced. But I have heard that they are finding that piercing the tragus part of your ear could be harmful.Any knowledge of how true this is?Also personal experiences would be helpful too.

My cousins wife used to peirce ears where she worked and she told me that if you dont get it done and you do it yourself, not knowing what your doing, that you could hit a nerve and go deaf. But i dunno how true it is. i have never heard of anyone going deaf by getting it done. So i am gonna say go get it. it will be fine. [ mysticpixie05's advice column | Ask mysticpixie05 A Question ]

If you're really worried, checkout bmezine.com or talk to a professional piercing artist about the risks involved. But, honestly, you don't see anymore of a risk with a tragus than you do with any other piercing.
