For the Sims 2 do you have to have a DVD player in your computer?
I rate all 5's for answers. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.

First off I just wanna say I got the sims 2 for christmas and I think it sooooooo totally rocks and second off I wanna say nooooooo you do not have to have a DVD player in your computer to run it on the bottom of the box it says everything you need to run it!!!

I wouldnt think youd need a DVD player...just your basic CD ROM like what you need for other Sims games.
Let me know what you really need when you find out for sure.

No! All you need is a regular disk drive to play the Sims 2. If you get the DVD one, it comes with the game on CD-ROM and extra DVD movie footage that you watch on your TV with a regular DVD player!

I really want to get that game, it looks so awesome! =)
