And i run track in the spring which is where i learned about intervals. Intervals are where u mark out a distance, we usually do these on the track. The whole point of these things are to wear ur body out to the point of exaushtion! So you mark out ur distance..ur best bet is 1/4 of a mile. Try to run that distance in under 40 seconds...and make sure u run em with like really fast. But what u do is u only give ur self one minute before u go and do it again! Do it like 5 times..give ur self a 2 minute break then do a couple more. This should make u really tired but theyr gonna make u alot faster. Another thing u think u should try to work on is buliding up ur leg strength, after all..when ur playin defence ur legs get hella tired! Id mesure out like 20ft of space in ur backyard..or if u have a long driveway that works too. Do a series of these things in kinda a jogging type thing-butt kicks..jog and bring ur feet up and hit ur butt, high knees...when ur jogging bring ur knees up as high as u can, short skips..do em really fast and keep the skips tiny, long skips..ur goin for distance on these, and do some lunges..im pretty sure ur gonna know what those are. Another suggestion i have...join track in the fall. its gonna teach u some skills to help prepare for sports. Ive been doin track since i was in 7th grade, im in 10th right now and plan on doin it again.
